Join us for July’s Coffee & Conservation as we welcome Charlotte County Natural Resources for an engaging presentation exploring the shorebirds and seabirds that nest along the beaches and coastal habitats of Charlotte County.
From the striking American Oystercatcher to the acrobatic Black Skimmer, attendees will discover the fascinating nesting behaviors, habitat requirements, and conservation challenges facing some of Florida’s most remarkable coastal bird species.
This presentation will highlight:

- Least Terns

- Wilson’s Plovers

Meet the Speaker
Alexandria “Lexi” Grant
Environmental Specialist, Charlotte County Natural Resources
Alexandria “Lexi” Grant is an Environmental Specialist with Charlotte County and a proud ninth-generation Floridian with deep roots in Florida’s natural environment.
Her lifelong passion for coastal and marine biology has inspired a career dedicated to conservation, environmental stewardship, and protecting the ecosystems that make Florida unique. Through her work with Charlotte County, Lexi helps support conservation initiatives that protect native wildlife, coastal habitats, and natural resources for future generations.
Outside of work, Lexi enjoys spending time outdoors and caring for her many animals, including cats, tortoises, a ball python, and a bearded dragon. She also has a special passion for sea turtle conservation and remains committed to preserving critical nesting habitats along Florida’s coast.
