We did our second kayak tour today with Danny as our guide. He was our guide in December and we wanted to make sure we requested him for this tour with our 8 year old granddaughter. He did not disappoint. We saw dolphins, sheepshead fish, sea urchin and a baby stone crab. He also is the photographer for the tour and captured so many wonderful moments for our family. Highly recommend. Thank you, Danny.

We had a great morning with Jeff on the SUP. We are first timers, and he gave excellent, patient instructions. We have been wanting to try this for years. We are fairly active, and just over 60. Take your time, and focus on your technique.

Such a great experience kayaking and renting from SUP Englewood. They are professional, helpful and even loaned us wheels to transport our kayak to the launch. The mangrove tunnels were fun and you can’t beat Don Pedro state park beach 😎

Updated January 2025 Nicole puts a lot of effort in this business and its recovery! After the hurricanes, the waterways were cleaned by her and her community. It’s so important to support people like her and her husband because they have a great influence on the handling of the waterways and animals through their education. Updated August 2024 We finally rented a tandem kayak at the Don Pedro Island location and had an amazing experience, as always! We met some manatees and saw a lot of wildlife. Great high quality gear and safety features! September 2023 We did an Eco Tour at the Stump Pass location. The reservation and payment online was very easy. Our guide Mike (The Bird Nerd) was incredible. We learned so much in over 2 hours and saw so much what would never have been possible on our own. We have often been to Stump Pass but this was a new perspective on this beautiful eco system. We saw several birds and other animals and learned a lot about the flora and fauna. Tammy was also super nice and was able to give us a lot of interesting information. The money is more than worth it. They also took a ton of pictures and sent them to us afterwards. It was one of the most beautiful days of our stay. Next time we would also like to come to Don Pedro Island and book a tour with SUP Englewood there.

We've rented kayaks from SUP Englewood a couple of times and had a great experience every time. They are very helpful in explaining the features in the area and where to see wildlife. The kayaks are in great shape and appropriate for the area. So far we have seen and interacted with dolphins on every trip. Don Pedro is a great spot and I look forward to returning for another rental.

A wonderful tour. The kayaks and equipment are all well-maintained and in great condition, the guides are ready to accommodate every level of experience, and clearly have a wealth of knowledge about local plant and animal life. Our guide answered all our questions with enthusiasm, and checked in with our group throughout the tour to make sure we were all getting what we wanted out of the experience. While you are discouraged from bringing your own phones or cameras due to the risk of water damage, our guide made sure to capture moments throughout the tour and shared the images with anyone who wanted them at no cost afterward. So our special encounters with hunting dolphins and various birds perched along the route still got captured for us. Fun, memorable, and an exceptional way to get closer to the unique ecology of the region.

Danny was an excellent tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and taught us so much. We also had people on our tour from children to 70s and everyone was comfortable with the pace and had a great time. Highly recommend for anyone interested in an awesome outdoor experience!

Great experience for all skill levels. We had four adults (3 single kayaks with 2 inexperience and 1 experienced and 1 paddle board inexperienced) on a guided tour with Danny. He was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I appreciated the focus on safety and environmental protection. We had a great day!

Best kayak outfitter in the area I've used. They are set up for kayaking Don Pedro Island state park. They have a little "hut" office on-site at the park, so they are easy to find. They have good kayaks and provide a map of the bay area. They do walk up rentals from 8-noon which is great for self guided kayakers. They also have guided tours. Lots of wildlife in the area and even saw some dolphins. As always, check the weather before going. Helpful and fun locals. Would recommend and rent from again.

Went out with Jeff today for the 9:30 AM tour. It’s a holiday and my family had to be in school, but I had the day off… rather than hanging around the house all day I decided to go paddle boarding as it‘s something I’ve wanted to try since moving to Florida. I am a major introvert and I loved that I could book the tour fully online without having to make a phone call 😉 And Jeff and Nicole were so nice that they made me feel comfortable and welcome the whole morning. I was their only tour booking for the morning, so I ended up with a private tour which was awesome! Jeff gave a quick land demonstration of the basics, and then we got out on the water and he had me standing and paddling pretty much right away! It was a gorgeous day, we got to see dolphins AND manatees, and a ton of jumping fish! We took a break on a beautiful bit of beach. I only fell in the water once (and that’s because I was distracted by watching all the jumping fish, LOL) One of my favorite things that I’ve done since coming to Florida, can’t wait to go again!

Today, we, four middle-aged women, were very anxious for our first Kayak trip. After speaking with Nicole, she convinced us that we would be fine. Well, we were not only fine, but had a most enjoyable morning with Jeff Gillette as our guide. Jeff was patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable throughout our 2 hour tour. We all had a wonderful experience, and give Jeff all the credit.

We had an incredible experience doing SUP! The staff was amazing. They gave us great directions and took such good care of us. We saw dolphins, manatee and terrapins! It was an amazing experience!!!

We didn’t actually get to do the SUP tour due to weather, but Dan with the company called us early enough that we hadn’t left yet to let us know that the weather was not cooperating. He was apologetic and offered other options (unfortunately we were leaving the next day and unable to reschedule) so he offered a refund that he said could take up to a week to process but it processed the same day. While bummed we didn’t get to paddle board, we appreciated the effort o get us in another day. We will definitely try again next time we are in the area!

My husband and I were part of a group tour organized by the South Venice Yacht Club. Nichole and the other tour guides at SUP Englewood had nice equipment, good and brief orientation and got us on the water quickly. The tour was excellent and they knew some really good local spots where we could see manatees and dolphins. They were very knowledgeable about the water and local wildlife. Highly recommend!

SO MUCH FUN!!!!! SUP Englewood was so much fun for my cousins and I. We all chose to paddle board for four hours and it was a BLAST. It felt like we were swimming with dolphins with how close they were to us. SUP also provided dry bags for our phones and things. The boards were of great quality. We enjoyed our kayak tour of Lemon Bay/Stump Bass Beach State Park with Nicole this past weekend! Be sure to call over the phone - Nicole was able to offer us dates that were unavailable to book digitally on their website. Nicole is SO knowledgeable of the area (she said she spends more time out there than most marine biologists!), kind, and welcoming. She offered us water bottles, dry bags, and sunscreen prior to the tour. Nicole spent time educating us on the history of the area, conservation efforts, and of the wildlife. I only wish she had a personal microphone so that we could hear about everything she was saying more (the teacher in me appreciate all you did!)! We stopped along the mangroves where Nicole let us hold some urchins (she also found some deceased ones and let us keep them!) Further along, we came across a spider crab along the sandbar, which Nicole picked up and told us all about him. She also took videos and pictures the entire tour - so put your phone away and enjoy the hidden gems that this area has to offer. Our vacation was cut short due to an impending tropical storm, but we cannot wait to be back in the area. We want to book the tour for Don Pedro State Park next. Nicole said there is so much more wildlife to be seen down there! Thank you, Nicole and team, for making our vacation special!

Once again, an exceptional experience! Nicole and Ty are always friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area and where to see all the sea life. We saw so many dolphin and even manatee! The kayaks are in great shape and we even received two bottles of water and a dry bag for our personal items. This is the best kayak rental in Englewood, launching from Don Pedro State Park which has been the best spot to see sea life. Will be returning again soon! Thank you for the most wonderful day!!!

Had a great time. I scheduled private two hour SUP lesson. I had never tried it until today but have been wanting to for over a year. Danny my instructor was fabulous. Learned so much in two hours. I will definitely sign up for a tour or rental. They supply everything you need. Enjoyed the added bonus of seeing dolphins and manatees.

Renting from, or going out on a guided adventure with SUP Englewood is always a wonderful experience. Owner, Nicole, is a state-certified naturalist guide, and you can expect to learn about the area's habitat and wildlife, how to paddle safely and efficiently, and, importantly, have tremendous fun while doing all those things. Beyond that is her kindness and empathy, which make out-of-towners as well as locals immediately comfortable. SUP Englewood rates are reasonable, the same as I've experienced in the half-dozen other Florida cities in which I've rented. A recent article in the local newspaper had a spread on SUP Englewood winning the "2024 Partner of the Year" award from the Punta Gorda Englewood Beach Tourism Bureau. SUP Englewood was also recently granted an official on-site concession status by the Florida State Parks. SUP Englewood is very much the go-to firm for everything kayaking and stand-up paddling.

Four of us took a morning guided kayak tour, Danny our guide was very knowledgable and engaging which made the experience a good one. Kids thoroughly enjoyed. Good standard of kayaks and equipment. Would recommend and will rent kayaks from SUP Englewood on our next visit in 2025.
