I moved to Florida in 2017 and soon joined the Venice Area Audubon Society (VAAS). That’s when my birding took off! Today, I lead birding tours for VAAS, Lemon Bay Conservancy, Peace River Audubon Society and the Venice Area Birding Association. My love for animals also led me to volunteer for Save Our Seabirds in Sarasota. There I spent most of my time in the baby bird room; raising them for release. When I moved from Venice to Englewood, I switched from SOS to the Venice Wildlife Center. First volunteering in their baby bird room and now going on wildlife rescues.

guides. Growing up on these
waters, Danny offers guests an
authentic, informed perspective on
the natural beauty of the local
waterways.
Danny holds a U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License, is a certified PaddleFit paddleboard instructor, and a Coastal Florida Master Naturalist. His tours come with a deep understanding of local ecology, while delivering safe, enriching, and educational experiences on the water. A passionate advocate for conservation, Danny believes that fostering awareness is the first step toward protecting Florida’s fragile coastal ecosystems.
When he’s not guiding, Danny runs Salt Fish Aquatics LLC, a local business specializing in custom aquarium design and maintenance. Whether leading guests through the mangroves or curating aquatic environments indoors, Danny is dedicated to inspiring respect, stewardship, and wonder for the waters he calls home
