KAYAKING TOURS LED BY FLORIDA MASTER NATURIST GUIDES
WHAT WILL I EXPERIENCE ON A GUIDED KAYAK TOUR?
PROMOTE CONSERVATION AND BOOK WITH SUP ENGLEWOOD
We did a 2 hour kayak tour with Tye today. 2 kids ages 11 & 13. It was a great time, we learned a lot & very much enjoyed ourselves! Tye has great enthusiasm & he’s knowledgeable as well!!
Had a great time on the water, Alex was an excellent guide. We were able to see all types of marine life throughout the 2 hrs. on the water.
Our family had the best morning spent kayaking with SUP Englewood! Tye was a wonderful guide and he had so much knowledge about the area. We saw dolphins, kayaked through a mangrove tunnel, and went to a secluded beach to collect shark teeth. There were so many - the kids loved it! This was our second time adventuring with SUP and we would absolutely do it again. Highly recommend!
we had a wonderful two hour kayaking tour with Jeff. He was pleasant, well informed, and took us to some really cool places. I would definitely recommend it.
Great paddle. Took my grandson and we learned how to row the right way. Especially enjoyed the mangrove tunnel.
Had an awesome time! The beach at Don Pedro State Park is beautiful!
Great day on the water! our guide Danny was wonderful. He shared all kinds of interesting history and facts about the area and wildlife. A great experience for any family- ages 4-104!
Our Kayak adventure was just perfect! Dolphins, Osprey, Conch, Sharks teeth and more. Tye was a capable, fun and relaxed guide. Thank you!
GREAT LITTLE ADVENTURE- we had a fantastic outing with SUP Englewood. My son and I did a two hour kayak trip. First, staff very knowledgeable and kind, bathrooms & office super clean, owner (Nicole) runs a tight ship and very involved to make sure your experience is top notch. Second, we kayak’d the intercostal, stopped on a couple of sandbars and learned about the local biodiversity and environment, and talked through a few real life examples (sea slugs, conches, crabs etc). Then went through passageways of mangroves to get into areas boats couldn’t go, which made it very nice and alleviated the concern of kayaking with an eight yr old through the intercostal traffic- lastly, went to a secluded beach where only Kayaks / SUP could access on the key, crossed over and swam in the gulf essentially at a private beach - then we of course saw a group of dolphins two hundred yards out. Thank you SUP Englewood for a great day!
Awesome adventure. Great value. We had an amazing time! Both Ray and Nicole are absolutely amazing hosts. Very friendly, kind and informative. Felt safe and secure in our tandem kayak adventure. What a hidden gem here in Sunny Southwest Florida!. We will be back!
Jeff was an amazing tour guide!! It was a blast paddle boarding!!! We will definitely do it again!!
Everyone was so wonderful and took care to explain the paddling and where we could cross the channel safely and gave us a map. So much fun!
This was the second time here and definitely not our last. Great people and helpful staff. See you next year
Had a great time doing the kayak tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable! I have already recommended this activity to all my friends that spend time in that area of Florida! Bonus was having mom and baby dolphin playing near us!
Wonderful people to deal with! This is our second time using them. They delivered the kayaks on time to our location. They were pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend!
This place rocks!!! Great kayak rental service right on the Englewood inland waterway. Very professional staff. Well maintained equipment. Very good orientation. Our group of 21 from Myakka River Motorcoach Resort really enjoyed the trip.
We had a wonderful paddle. There is so much to see, birds, dolphins, beaches. The staff is very helpful and professional. Highly recommend a 4 hour paddle.
Our experience this morning was fantastic! My daughter and I had never been in a kayak so we were a little anxious but were immediately out to ease with the super friendly staff as soon as we arrived. The place was very easy to get to, our check in once we got there was super smooth. Tye was our tour guide and was the best! So friendly, calm, and you could tell he wanted you to get the full experience by doing what he could to make sure we saw all the animals we wanted to see (manatees, dolphins, birds). He was super knowledgeable and could answer any question we had about the island, plants, animals, etc. Would definitely do this again and recommend it to anyone who enjoys being on the water, seeing cool animals, and an experience on a secluded island. Thanks, Tye, for a great tour/ experience!! Oh, and he also took pictures for/of us so we didn’t have to worry about bringing our phone on the water. Then he shared them all with us after the tour.
We had a great day on the Kayak Eco Tour of Don Pedro Island with Nicole as our guide. We saw manatees, dolphins, various birds, even jumping fish! Nicole was very knowledgeable of the plant and animal life, and a pro at finding shark teeth on the beach. Highly recommend this tour, and SUP Englewood!
Amazing kayak adventure for sure. You can tell the people that helped us loved their job. Everyone was happy and enthusiastic. Definitely will go again.
Dawn was an awesome guide, very encouraging and informative. What a cool experience!
Great tour and experience! Our guide Tye was engaging and shared his knowledge of the area and its wildlife. The kayaks were in great shape, easy to use and felt very safe. Highly recommend.
We had a great time paddling. Very friendly and informative staff! It was great watching the dolphins play!
We had the perfect start. Cloudless sky and almost no boats for the first part of our trip. Danny was so knowledgeable and it’s clear how much he cares about the work he does and the ecosystem he explained so well. He told us all about the different birds, the mangrove trees, the conch shells, the stingray, and the dolphins we saw. The beach we kayaked to was gorgeous, and Danny made sure we each left with a shark’s tooth he found on the beach. (Who knew they lost so many!) Unfortunately no manatee sightings. Maybe next time. From start to finish, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
We spent a delightful 2 hours with Danny on the kayak tour of Don Pedro State Park and Little Gasparilla Island. Danny pointed out osprey nests, snowy egrets and dolphins (which swam within 10 feet of our kayaks!) We made a very special visit to a shell beach that can only be accessed by water; it was secluded and breathtaking! We found lots of shark’s teeth there on the beach. Danny took pictures of wildlife and of the people in our group and made these available to us afterwards. The kayak tour was a safe, beginner-friendly day on the water and great exercise as well. Highly recommend! And don’t forget to tip your guides🫶
We had a wonderful time kayaking the waters and mangrove tunnel of Don Pedro Island. Dawn was an excellent, knowledgeable guide who provided us with interesting facts of the area and made sure we had an enjoyable experience.
My friend and I wanted to go kayaking and it was our first time. They make you feel very comfortable and safe the entire time. Danny was extremely kind and even when my friend and I might’ve been a little slow he was sweet. Made me want to go out and buy my own kayak.
We took the Kayak Tour with our granddaughters (ages 9 and 17). Tye was our guide who shared his vast knowledge and made it a wonderful and FUN experience for everyone. Highly recommend!!!
Great tour. Dan was helpful and informative locating and showing our group various marine life. Thoroughly explained their structure and place in the Lemon Bay ecosystem.
We had Tye as our guide and he was wonderful! We had a small group of 7 and he made our trip very enjoyable. He was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The equipment was well maintained. The day was perfect to be on the water and we also loved the time we spent on the beach finding shark teeth. We highly recommend SUP Englewood kayak tours.
We had such an amazing experience with SUP Englewood and our guide, Danny! We originally had a morning kayak tour booked, but they thoughtfully called us the day before to offer moving it later due to chilly and windy conditions, which we really appreciated. The tour itself was incredible. We saw dolphins, osprey, bald eagles, and even a manatee! One of our favorite parts was the beach stop, where we found tons of shark teeth and really cool shells. Danny was fantastic. So knowledgeable, kind, and easy to be around. He made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We had such a great time and will definitely be back!
Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We kayaked to the beach and went swimming. The water was so warm, there was hardly anyone else on the beach. It was a great day! I think this is probably one of my favorite places to rent kayaks thus far!
We had a great day at the beach we paddled to and the tunnel thru the mangroves was awesome.
Great day on the water yesterday. Saw lots of birds (including osprey nesting), dolphins and a manatee! Stopped for a walk on the beach at Don Pedro Island. Highly recommend stopping! The water was gorgeous, Nearly had the beach to ourselves. Great shelling. Danny was an excellent guide. We had a range of abilities on our tour (fine for newbies to kayaking). He kept everyone together and made sure we all were engaged and had a good time. Thanks SUP Englewood! Look forward to coming back and renting kayaks for our own excursion next time.
We cannot say enough about SUP Englewood. Everything was seamless from online booking, checking in and gearing up for the tour. Jeff took our group out and did not disappoint. He is informative, fun, laid back and willing to answer any and all questions. Dolphins, manatees, fish, beaches and laid back paddling was the perfect way to start a Tuesday in Florida. Do not wait! Book now!
Extremely pleasant experience. The whole process was very well organized and instructions were provided. I'm sure to revisit the facility.
Excellent experience, would recommend! Our tour guide Jeff was great, and the whole staff was welcoming!
My wife and I just returned from an outstanding, guided kayak trip on Lemon Bay in Don Pedro State Park. Our guides, Jeff and Alex were friendly and profrssional. Office staff made sign up effortless. A short 30 minutes from Venice area. Great experience, highly recommended.
Highly recommend booking a tour with SUP Englewood! My mom and I had a great time kayaking and seeing the gorgeous wildlife. Jeff was very knowledgeable and periodically checked in to make sure we were doing ok! I also loved having the guides take pictures throughout the tour so we didn't have to worry about getting our phones wet. We will definitely be back!
The tour was great. The guides were wonderful and informative and the pace was just perfect. Not hard at all. Perfect even for beginners. My favorite was going through the mangrove tunnel and seeing a dolphin. They even take photos and post them for everyone to be able to download. An unexpected perk.
SUP Englewood was very organized, gave great instruction so everyone felt safe, and their equipment was excellent. A great day on the water!

Kayak with Manatees & Dolphins
The gentle presence of manatees and the playful spirit of dolphins can turn an ordinary day into an unforgettable adventure. Snap some photos as you paddle alongside these magnificent creatures. Our Certified Guardian Guides ensure that all interactions are conducted with the utmost respect for marine life.

Kayak Tour FAQ's
How much are kayak tours?
Do you have age restrictions for joining kayak tours?
SUP Englewood requires children 13 and under be with an adult in a tandem kayak for group tours. Private tours offer more safety for younger paddlers to venture out on their own equipment. We find that lighter paddlers have increased difficulty in wind and tidal conditions. Please contact us at (941) 265-2925 to book a private tour for your family to enjoy the waterways safely.
Do I have to take a tour? Or can I rent kayaks?
No, you do not have to take a tour.
Where can I rent kayaks?
We also offer kayak rentals in Englewood, Boca Grande and Manasota Key.
What are the rates for kayak rentals?
Kayak rentals are available by Half Day (4 hour) and Full Day (8 hour) increments. We also offer daily and multiple day rentals. Please visit our kayak rental page to learn more.
When do you recommend kayak tours?
We recommend guided kayak tours for the following situations:
- You want to learn more about the environment
- To discover more marine life and sea creatures when paddling
- If you have people in your party that have medical conditions, inability to swim, or lack kayaking/paddling skills and abilities. Our tour guides are trained to handle difficult situations on the water and your safety is paramount to us.
- We also recommend guided trips if you have young children or a large party going out on the water. It can be hard to maintain a large groups safety when there’s varying skill levels. Again, this is another to have a trained guide help ensure your safety.
Can I bring my phone or camera kayaking?
We recommend leaving valuables in the car. We have seen many phones drop into the water. It’s a sad experience for our guests! A waterproof case does not stop items from sinking to the bottom of the water which sometimes be very deep.
Do you take pictures?
Yes! Your kayak tour guide will take photos during the paddling trip. If you’re comfortable with Facebook then the pictures will be uploaded into an album there. If you do not want photos on social media please let us know and we’ll accommodate another option.
What's included in price?
All kayak equipment, paddles, and vests are included.Â
How long are kayak tours?
Trips are between 2 to 2.5 hours long.
What should I bring with me?
Bring the following with you:
- Water (plan to be hydrated prior to paddling)
- A light snack to take with you (nuts, chips, fruit)
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Clothing appropriate for sun sensitive skin
- Any medication you may need during a trip
Do I need to know how to swim?
No, you do not. Please let your tour guide know so they are prepared in the event you fall into the water. We also ask that you wear your life vest throughout the paddling trip.
What if someone in our group wants to paddle board?
That’s no problem. If they have experience they can join a group tour. However, if it’s their first time paddling, or first time in a tidal waterway, please book a private tour. Others on the group trip are there for environmental education and not interested in paddle boarding instruction.
INTERESTED IN A GROUP RATE?
If your group wants a group tour rate, please book kayaks on the Paddle Board Tour which focus on instruction plus environmental education.
